The “Boutique” Bakery
From Amsterdam to Sydney to Buenos Aires, a new crop of “boutique bakeries”, a.k.a designer bakeries, has emerged where the bread can cost up to 4 times as much.
This type of food emporium differs greatly from a regular bake shop as your target is a much more limited and exclusive clientele.
Contrary to bakeries that can attract everyone needing the basic commodity of bread, boutique bakeries offer stylish stores, and sophisticated baked goods and sweets whose higher price renders them a luxury.
