Focal Uomo is an evolving collection of lifestyle & travel photography for the style-conscious global urbanite.

Behind Focal Uomo is Gustavo Espínola, a freelance photographer whose work has appeared in print and online media such as the Globe and Mail, Chronicle Herald, Tiny Iceland, Provence-Guide, and others.

Painting, drawing, design, and fashion have all shaped his artistic sensibility. The experience of living on three different continents, speaking multiple languages, and interacting with people from around the world have in turn drawn him to lifestyle & travel photography.

This website is a snapshot and representation of his passion for design and travel. Through his work, he aims to capture the particular beauty and essence of place, and to explore the many manifestations of culture.
