Bota Bota: Nordic Spa (Montréal)
Moored at the quays of Montréal’s Old Port, Bota Bota, Spa-Sur-l’Eau, is a completely remodeled ferry with avant-garde design features.
Sid Lee Architecture was in charge of transforming the vessel into a chic space which opened its doors in December 2010.
The spa (click on photo to enlarge and see slideshow) is comprised of five decks where you will find over 20 rooms dedicated to yoga, skincare, and massage as well as an elegant bistro (operated by Auberge sur la Route, with Michelin-starred chef Eric Gonzalez at its helm). On the upper deck, guests can enjoy the saunas, whirlpools, cold water bassins, and a eucalyptus steam bath. This stylish space was designed with large terraces and 678 rounded boat windows offering incredible views of Montréal and the St. Lawrence River.
Bota Bota has won many design awards including the Gold Winner: Grand Prix du Tourisme, Montréal Region (2012) and Gold Medal, Design, 58th International Festival of Creativity (2011).
Bota Bota, Spa-Sur-l’Eau, is an experience not to miss for visitors and locals alike.
